January Meeting Notes -
Board of Director's Meeting Minutes
January 5, 2010
Attending:
Lynn Fuhrman President
John Alford Vice-President
Tom Castro Treasurer
Frank Santandrea Member at Large
Rich Humphrey Secretary
General
-
Stephen Tilson sent a letter
offering to do an audit of the balance sheet for $1,800. This is not
required by the bylaws and seemed geared towards HOAs with much larger
budgets and more amenities. It was rejected unanimously by the board.
-
Fence proposals for the fence
surrounding the retention pond were received from MRP and Profence. The
Profence proposal was rejected due to it lacking any details such as
staining the fence, using screws and using three support boards instead of
two. The board unanimously decided to accept the bid from MRP provided they
add information on the type of gate they will provide. Earline will contact
MRP about the gate.
-
The grass behind the retention pond
is supposed to be maintained by the City of Round Rock and is not being cut.
Earline will contact the City of Round Rock concerning this.
-
The pump in the retention pond has
been replaced and attached to the existing pipe. The wiring has also been
properly run so the manhole cover can be closed. There is a control box that
will be locked to prevent people from tampering with it. EMS included tax on
labor on the bill.
-
John will contact them about removing the excess tax and
re-billing the HOA. A refund of $2,300.31 was received from GTL for the
incorrect pump.
-
Due to the pond being stagnant,
there is a bunch of algae sitting at the bottom of the now empty pond. It
was decided to get bids from other companies since GTL and Naylor have done
such a poor job of maintaining the pond. Earline will contact TCEQ (?) to
get a list of companies authorized to do this type of work.
-
The bill for the new trees/crepe
myrtles still hasn't been received.
-
The hedges in the entryway to the
subdivision are blocking the lights meant to light the area. They will be
trimmed back far enough to allow the lights to illuminate the Eagle Ridge
signs.
